This is a direct-acting, spool-type, 3-way 2-position directional valve. It allows flow from port 3 to port 4 with a spring-biased spool while port 2 is blocked. The spool will shift when a pressure differential between vent port (port 1) and port 3 overcomes the spring bias, allowing flow from port 3 to port 2, while port 4 is blocked.
