This is a pilot-operated, poppet type, 2-way 2-position, normally closed solenoid valve, designed for applications requiring virtually zero internal leakage. When de-energized, flow is blocked in both direction independent from pressure on port 1 and port 2. When energized, it allows flow in both directions.The fast-acting solenoid valve needs a minimum pressure to lift the poppet. Because this valve is made by adding an extra spring between the armature and the poppet. When the coil de-energizes, the poppet quickly reseats and blocks the flow.
