This valve is pilot-operated, balanced poppet relief valve with an integral 8A-2 pilot control cavity, designed for use with any 8A-2 pressure control cartridge valve. When the pressure at port 1 overcomes the pilot control setting, it opens port 2 and allows metered flow to regulate the pressure. The pressure differential between port 1 and port 2 is determined by the settings of the pilot control. It is commonly paired with Winner pilot-operated proportional relief valves, PRB-8A-Y-Z or PRA-8A-Y-Z.

  • Maximum pressure can be accepted at port 2, suitable for use in cross port relief circuits.
  • The maximum leakage at 10% reseat is approximately 0.7 cc/min.
  • This valve features a balanced poppet design to reduce cavitation and manifold erosion during high pressure drop applications.
  • W spring is suitable for higher pressure drop applications.
  • Pilot port is protected for contamination resistance by a stainless-steel filter screen.
  • Back pressure at port 2 (tank port) is added directly to the valve setting in a 1:1 ratio.
