Vented, Balance load control valves combine check and fixed throttle. When load pressure at port 2 rises over the check cracking pressure, check valve will allow free flow from port 2 to port 1. Meantime, the pilot activates fixed throttle component to allow the flow from port 1 to port 2 and the flow rate is controlled by pilot pressure at port 3. Due to the vent at port 4 connect to spring chamber, backpressure at port 2 can be excluded when pressure setting.

  • Setting should be 1.3 times maximum load induced pressure.
  • These valves exhibit a wider modulation range for flow control compared to pure poppet designs. The extended stroke enables the integration of a unidirectional damping mechanism, facilitating smoother opening and swift closure of the valve.
  • This valve is functionally a 4 ports counterbalance valve. It seats as a poppet valve and modulates as a spool valve offering the best of both worlds.

  • This valve is capable of full relief.
  • Counterbalance valve and load reactive load control valve are ideal for mounting directly near or in cylinder, hydraulic motor and rotary actuator as protection to increase the safety of the circuit.
  • This valve is a physical replacement for a counterbalance valve but probably won't work well in a cross-piloted cylinder application. A low pilot ratio is needed for machine stability and a balanced load control has an infinitely high pilot ratio.
