This is a pilot-operated, spool-type reducing/relieving valve with an integral 8A-2 control cavity for use with any 8A-2 pressure control cartridge valve. It allows bi-directional flow between port 2 and port 1. When the pressure at port 1 exceeds the predetermined level, the spool shifts to restrict flow at port 2, regulating the pressure at port 1. If the pressure at port 1 continues to rise above the valve setting, the spool shifts further to relieve excess pressure through port 3 (tank) until the set pressure is restored. The pressure differential between port 1 and port 3 (drain port) is determined by the pilot valve.

  • If the inlet pressure is below 140 bar, please select the Y=D bias spring or the Y=W bias spring.
  • If the inlet pressure is between 140 bar and 350 bar, please select the Y=W bias spring.
  • If you need more stable pressure, we recommend the Y=W bias spring.
  • This valve can be used in pilot control valves for various 8A2 cavities. For example, with Winner’s pilot control valves PRB-8A-2D-Y-Z or PRA-8A-2D-Y-Z-74 (if you apply valves like PP, PV, PW, or other valves with suffixes -8 that function as proportional reducing/relieving valves), we recommend selecting the PCB-2600 amplifier for more stable pressure control. This setup will provide a high-performance proportional reducing/relieving valve, with a maximum pressure of up to 350 bar (5000 psi).
  • Pressure at port 3 adds directly to the valve setting at a 1:1 ratio.
  • Working parts are heat-treated and high-precision ground to increase hardness for long life.
  • A variety of seal kit materials for different applications, see seals information under Technical Reference.
  • Winner's cartridges pressure rating tested to the standard of the NFPA specification T2.6.1 and the fatigue rating's assurance and verification level is "90/90".
  • WINNERcoat® Zinc-Nickel Plating is salt spray tested in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9227 for up to 1000 hours.
  • Winner guarantees that all products performance a 100% functional test before shipment.
