This is a pilot-operated, balanced piston, ventable relief valve with integral 8A-2 pilot control cavity, designed for use with any 8A-2 pressure control cartridge valve. When the pressure at port 1 overcomes the pilot control setting, it pilots open port 2 and allows throttling flow to regulate the pressure. The pressure differential between port 1 and port 2 is based on the settings of the pilot control. The pressure differential between port 1 and port 4 (drain port) is based on the settings of the pilot control. The valve includes a vent port (port 3) that connects the main piston to the pilot stage, allowing remote control by other pilot or 2-way valves. This valve has an external drain (port 4) connected to the spring chamber, making it insensitive to back pressure at port 2. This valve is commonly paired with Winner proportional relief valves, such as the PRB8A or PRA8A.

  • Maximum pressure can be accepted at port 2, suitable for use in cross port relief circuits but spool leakage should be considered.
  • The maximum leakage is approximately 30 cc/min at 70 bar (1000 psi).
  • W spring is suitable for higher pressure drop applications.
  • Pressure at port 4 is added directly to the valve setting in a 1:1 ratio, and must be less than 350 bar (5000 psi).
  • This valve is not proper to use in load holding applications due to spool leakage.
  • Working parts are heat-treated and high-precision ground to increase hardness for long life.
  • A variety of seal kit materials for different applications, see seals information under Technical Reference.
  • Winner's cartridges pressure rating tested to the standard of the NFPA specification T2.6.1 and the fatigue rating's assurance and verification level is "90/90".
  • WINNERcoat® Zinc-Nickel Plating is salt spray tested in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9227 for up to 1000 hours.
  • Winner guarantees that all products performance a 100% functional test before shipment.
