This is a direct-acting, poppet type, 2-way, 2-position, normally closed solenoid valve, designed for applications requiring extremely fast response and virtually zero internal leakage. When de-energized, flow is blocked in both directions, regardless of pressure on port 1 and port 2. When energized, it allows flow in both directions.
