This is a direct-acting, spool-type, 3-way 2-position directional valve. It allows flow between port 3 and port 2 with a spring-biased spool. The spool will shift when pilot at port 1 with sufficient pressure to overcome the spring bias and allow flow between port 4 and port 3, while port 2 is blocked. The spring chamber is vented to the atmosphere.
- Spool valves will have normal leakage due to spool clearance.
- Approximately 1 drop (0.07 cc) of fluid will pass from the pilot area to the vented spring chamber every 4000 cycles.
- Working parts are heat-treated and high-precision ground to increase hardness for long life.
