This valve is a pilot-operated, balanced piston relief valve with an integral 8A-2 or 08W-2 pilot control cavity, designed for use with any 8A-2 or 08W-2 pressure control cartridge valve. When the pressure at port 1 exceeds the pilot control setting, the valve pilot-opens port 2, allowing metered flow to regulate the pressure. The pressure differential between port 1 and port 2 is determined by the settings of the pilot control. This valve with 8A-2 cavity is commonly paired with Winner proportional relief valves, such as the PRB8A or PRA8A.
  • Maximum pressure can be accepted at port 2, suitable for use in cross port relief circuits but spool leakage should be considered.
  • The maximum leakage is approximately 80 cc/min at 70 bar (1000 psi).
  • W spring is suitable for higher pressure drop application.
  • Pilot port is protected for contamination resistance by a stainless-steel filter screen.
  • Back pressure at port 2 (tank port) is added directly to the valve setting in a 1:1 ratio.
  • This valve is not proper to use in load holding applications due to spool leakage.
  • Working parts are heat-treated and high-precision ground to increase hardness for long life.
